Bianca Tan started her small food venture, Curated Kitchen MNL, during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) after watching her mom cook and helping her out in the kitchen. She eventually started looking up recipes on her own and watching baking and cooking videos until she decided to make different goodies for her family. From there, she got inspired to share her love for food and cooking and baking with others.

Aside from their tteokbokki bake and unagi sushi tray, Curated Kitchen MNL also offers Garlic Cheese Bombs that are out of this world. Read our full review here. You can really tell that Bianca puts a great effort into creating food that will make her customers happy and satisfied, using nothing but quality ingredients that she does not scrimp on.

Carmina Litonjua is a registered nutritionist – dietitian and real estate broker who cultivated her passion for baking during quarantine. September Homemade Goods’ 5-inch Korean Buns are loaded and oozing with garlic and cream cheese that will make you long for more. They are soft, flavorful, and oh-so-delicious! Make sure to try out their Rolled Pork Floss and Japanese Strawberry Shortcake, too!

Claudine’s Sweet Selections is an online boutique home-based bakery and pastries shop that opened in March when Claudine Joy C. Marcelino decided to turn her interest and passion for cooking and baking into a business in order to spend time with her kids during quarantine. Their menu consists of the classic (like dinner rolls and cookies) and the avant-garde (like red velvet pandesal and the cream cheese garlic brioche seen above).

Although it isn’t common for Filipinos to have Korean bread; Claudine caught the Korean bug due to drama films and KPop songs, and thus incorporated it into their menu. Their Cream Cheese Garlic Brioche makes for a great breakfast item to go with coffee, an afternoon/night snack, or even a dessert. Make sure to try out their fruity Japanese sandwiches, too!

Sestra Quisina is a small passion project cooked up by sisters Ayra and Kayla. What started from a love for food, playing around the kitchen, and serving those closest to them; Sestra Quisina has turned into a comfortable and exciting experience for everyone who tries their homemade dishes.

Their buns come in three flavors – Classic Garlic Bun, Cheesy Garlic Bun, and Pesto Cream Cheese Bun –  and were originally made to go with their bestselling cheesy meaty lasagna. Eventually, their brioche bunch became a hit individually; pushing them to create new flavors like the Coffee Maple Bacon Bun. There’s definitely something for everyone here!

1. T&C Comfort Food MNL (@tnccomfortfoodmnl)

T&C Comfort Food MNL is a home-based online food service that serves amazing comfort food. Born out of Trish and Cor’s family’s love for cooking and for food, in general, the pandemic allowed them to relive their visions of starting a business. It was simply a vision that came into fruition in the time of COVID. Their menu consists of comfort food based on their family experience. Their bestsellers? Their assorted bites that include garlic cream cheese!

What we love about their garlic cream cheese bites is the fact that they are small enough to be a quick snack if needed, but you can also eat more if the need to do so arises (and it probably will). They aren’t overwhelming in any way, and kids love the smaller size, too. The garlic cream cheese bites aside, their pizza balls and cheeseburger bites are downright delicious and addicting, too! Be warned: you will end up eating more of these than you might have originally planned to. (No regrets, though!)

In addition to this, T&C changes their menu every two months, serving food based on their customers’ suggestions and preferences. The variety helps them modify their menu based on their customers’ demands and helps them to sustain their business further. Make sure to check out their wide variety of bread, pasta, and drinks, as well!
