“When the Universe Asks, Say Yes”: Vampire Weekend to Grant Pia Wurtzbach’s Wish to See Them Live

When the Universe Asks, Say Yes Vampire Weekend to Grant Pia Wurtzbach's Wish to See Them Live

Three years ago, Miss Universe 2015 tweeted, “I really wanna see Vampire Weekend live.” Back then, Wurtzbach was still an unknown fan so her tweet got buried along with the others.

But things are different when you’re Miss Universe, especially if you’re the title-holder of a controversial run.

One user tagged the tweet to Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Michael Koenig on Twitter, who responded with, “We will make this happen – when the universe asks, say yes.”

Vampire Weekend is an American rock band who became known for their titular first album. In 2013, they released their third album Modern Vampires of the City, which won them a Grammy Award in 2014.

Koenig said early this year that they are in their “off-season,” but as he said, when the universe asks, say yes. This may be possible because Wurtzbach is in New York City in the US for the duration of her reign.

Wurtzbach’s Twitter account has been deactivated.

Do you want to see Vampire Weekend perform live? Tweet them, they might make it happen.
