We’re Going Bananas for Ilumina Dough’s Banana Bread!

There’s something so nostalgic about enjoying a warm slice of Banana Bread with a tall glass of fresh milk at the end of a long day.

I, myself, have many fond memories of Banana Bread from my childhood. I used to watch my lola putter around her kitchen, measuring different quantities of flour, eggs, ripe bananas, and vanilla extract together with a handful of other secret ingredients. I would sit on her countertop and impatiently wait for her banana bread to finally bake, on special occasions she would even add chocolate chips to the mix! Although, nowadays, everyone, myself included, barely have the time to bake our own homemade banana bread from scratch. Ilumina Dough is a small business that specializes in—you guessed it—made-to-order, homemade banana bread. Although their main office is located in Biñan, Laguna, they offer different modes of delivery, from pick-up points to a home delivery service. As of now, Ilumina Dough creates three different varieties of banana bread. The first is their Classic Banana Cake (P150), my personal favorite, the Choco-Banana Cake (P180), and, last but definitely not the least, the Banana-Walnut Cake (P220.) I cannot stress enough how great their banana bread is!!! Each loaf is so moist and decadent unlike some generic banana bread loaves that you can buy at grocery stores. Ilumina Dough is VERY generous with the amount of ingredients they use. From the bananas to the chocolate and the walnuts, they don’t skimp out.

Each loaf is about the length of a standard pencil. You’ll no doubt get your money’s worth out of your banana bread order!
