The first two trailers that were released for ”Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales‘ have been pretty spectacular, and the latest one brings everything together by bringing the lighter side that the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise is known for back into the limelight. To be honest, I enjoyed the dark vibe of the very first trailer, but I guess that’s also because I’m not a huge fan of Jack Sparrow. This trailer feels like it’s just full of him.
It starts with a flashback sequence with a younger Jack Sparrow seemingly done with the ever-famous de-aging CGI that Hollywood has been making use of lately; and then we are brought to the present where we see more of Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites, who are pretty much just like Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom… but younger. I am excited to see more of Kaya, though, since I was a huge ‘Skins’ fan back in the day.
Aside from that, we get a hefty amount of Javier Bardem screen time, who is the main reason why I will most likely see this movie to begin with. Check out the full trailer here:
