WATCH: When Pedestrian and Power Lines Both Cross the ‘Safe’ Footbridge

The government spends millions of pesos in building footbridges to keep pedestrians safe. Instead of crossing the highway and be at risk of getting hit by a speeding vehicle, pedestrians are compelled to take the footbridge.

However, in the case of Sucat Highway, the footbridge may be not as safe as intended because aside from pedestrians, power linesย are also crossing it.

Take a look at the video below.

Ang paggamit ng Overpass ay para sa kaligtasan ng nakararami. Todo sita sila na may tamang tawiran o daanan. Pero bakit ganito? Parang mas delikado dumaan sa overpass na to?

We are not sure if the powerย lines are still live or not. Either way, that looks like one scary footbridge to cross. And we wonder, how scarier it is when it rains.

Have you seen this footbridge? Is this still the current condition of the footbridge?ย Anyone knows if there are plans to fix this?
