In case you haven’t heard, the popular anime franchise “Evangelion” is finally coming out with a new movie eight years since the last installment, and it’s going to be the final film to ever be made for the series.
Because of this, the excitement for “Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” is high among anime fans who have followed its story for 25 years. And to further fuel the hype, they just dropped a brand new trailer that features Jpop legend Utada Hikaru singing the theme song for the movie.
The trailer is as emotional as you can expect it to be with tons of never-before-seen footage of the film to go with Utada’s moving vocals. It is unknown what the story for this fourth and final movie will be about but, thankfully, we’ve only got a few more weeks to find out before it premieres in Japan on January 23, 2021.
