Watch: Two Men Do “10 Hours of Walking in Manila” and Get “Compliments”
“10 Hours of Walking in Manila” is a Pinoy parody made by Wil Dasovich and Sam Louie Turner of the viral video “10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman”. The original video from NYC was posted last October and has already received over 36 million views on YouTube. The video showed how a woman walking along Manhattan wearing jeans and a T-shirt was catcalled, bothered, or propositioned several times. Furthermore, the video had a caption saying that the woman endured “100+ instances of verbal street harassment”.
However, unlike the original video, the Pinoy parody showed how the two men walking in different streets of Manila received compliments and several squeals of delight from admiring bystanders.
They said, “It’s more of a fun video. Basically, to show you kung gaano ka-friendly ang isang typical na Filipino. This is our version dito sa Manila.”
“Verbal harassment or just part of a fun culture?”, they asked.
