You’d never think that a hitman would need a bodyguard, but when you think about it, who protects him? It’s the premise that Patrick Hughes explores in his latest film, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and it looks hilarious!

The film stars Ryan Reynolds as a bodyguard who must protect his former rival Samuel L. Jackson, a hitman who is testifying at the International Court of Justice against Gary Oldman, an Eastern European dictator.
The trailer is filled with expletives, car chases, explosions, and punches. It’s even peppered with references to Jackson’s role in Snakes on a Plane, and Whitney Houston’s song and role in the similarly titled The Bodyguard.
Reynolds, Jackson, and Oldman are joined by Salma Hayek, Elodie Yung, Joaquim De Almeida, Kirsty Mitchell, and Richard E. Grant.
The Hitman’s Bodygyard is set to premiere on August 18, 2017.
