WATCH: This Groom Who Had the Wedding Jitters Will Touch Your Heart

We know Jason Magbanua as a storyteller who captures the beauty of weddings. We see grooms crying, brides looking their best, and venues transformed into the most romantic places. But what if a Magbanua-directed video didn’t start out that way? What if it started out with a groom… not showing up to his wedding?

In this new video that went viral, a bride is panicking because she couldn’t reach her fiance on the day of their wedding. We slowly get an idea why: through stories told to her friend, we learn that he has become distant lately. It’s heartbreaking at first but we learn the reason why later.

Watch the viral video below:

The video was done by SM Supermalls for its #LoveSM campaign for Valentine’s, and it’s just one of the things that the chain is doing to celebrate love this month. Across 67 malls in the country, couples and would-be couples can plan a romantic date with dining offers, buy 1 take 1 promos, and freebies until February 14. At the Red Bazaar, they can also buy couple shirts, his and hers novelties, and two for one offers. They can even surprise their partners with By Request Serenades, a series of acoustic performances where you can request a playlist online. And for those who are looking for a good time, they can join the Love Beats color-coded Valentine’s parties on February 3 to 4, 10 to 11, and 14!

Of course, love is all about making memories and they can do that at the Instagram-worthy All Heart photo stations in malls. They can also join the #LoveSM Stories digital promo, where they can submit their unforgettable love stories that happened in an SM mall for a chance to win P10,000 worth of shopping and date certificates! This promo is from January 22 to February 11, and more information can be found on

This month is all about celebrating love. If you’re like the bride in the video, you just need to wait. In the face of doubt, the love that believes overcomes.
