This Filipino couple decided to veer away from the ordinary themes of most “Save the Date” videos and injected their own personalities into it, turning the video into something totally unexpected.
In fact, one might think that the shoot wasn’t actually for a wedding but for an anime cosplay convention instead. After all, it’s not every day that you’d see a couple transform themselves into iconic anime characters in preparation for a formal celebration. But honestly? We’re living for it!

Fonz Justin Cruz and Joanna “Maggie” Magno have been dating since 2019 after first being colleagues, then good friends, and then eventually falling for each other. According to one of their close friends, both had just gotten out of long-term relationships before “becoming each other’s salvation” and the rest is history!
Fonz was the one who introduced Maggie to the world of anime and is also an avid collector of anime toys and figurines. As fans of “Kimetsu No Yaiba: Demon Slayer,” the two transformed into the characters Giyu Tomioka and Shinobu Kocho — both Hashiras of the Demon Slayer Corps.

The couple got engaged this year and plan to have their wedding in December 2021.
