Remember those viral videos of cute, furry animals with big eyes kept as pets that took over the internet a while back? That animal is called the Loris and videos of the cuddly, nocturnal primates have circulated around social media prompting more people to want them as pets. Most of them seem so adorable with those big expressive eyes, even more so when they raise their hands, as if surrendering, to their owners. Heck, even I wanted one and I kept on watching the Loris videos over and over!
But, little did we know that these actions, although cute to us, signify that the Loris is threatened and is actually in self defense mode. Watch:
