One of our favorite cliffhangers from 2019 is the season finale of The Umbrella Academy. We finally get to know what happens next as the Netflix series is set to return, and the trailer has been released.

The Umbrella Academy follows six children who are trained by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves to save the world. A seventh sister has no apparent supernatural abilities, which somewhat alienated her from her siblings. The six surviving members reunite as adults after Hargreeves’ mysterious death.
The show has been received well by critics and viewers. Netflix revealed that 45 million households watched the season during its first month, while Rotten Tomatoes gave the season a 75% rating. According to the review aggregation website, “The Umbrella Academy unfurls an imaginative yarn with furtive emotion and an exceptionally compelling ensemble, but the series’ dour sensibility often clashes with its splashy genre trappings.”
Season two will be available for streaming on July 31, 2020.
