Mamma Mia! became such a phenomenal musical film when it first hit theaters 7 years ago. Fans just couldn’t get enough of Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, and Pierce Brosnan (among others) singing and dancing to ABBA’s hit songs. So, it’s really no surprise that a sequel is about to come our way–because it’s so easy to love everything about Mamma Mia!.
The first trailer for the sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, has recently been released and it’s just as strikingly fabulous as the first one!

Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is now pregnant and is running the Greek villa. After expressing her worry on raising her child without her mother, Donna (Meryl Streep), around to help her, Donna’s friends then begin to tell the story of how a young Donna was able to make something out of her life despite being underage and pregnant with Sophie.

Audiences were quick to notice quite a very important plot point that may still need confirmation: is Donna dead? Perhaps this is something to watch out for once Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hits theaters next year.
Amanda Seyfried, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, and Stellan Skarsgård will all be returning along with new members of the cast such as Lily James who will be playing Young Donna, and Cher!
