WATCH: The Trailer for “The Baby-Sitters Club” Series is Here and We’re Feeling Nostalgic

Babysitters Club

Here’s something to look forward to: the upcoming Netflix adaptation of The Baby-Sitters Club is here!

Watch it below:

The Baby-Sitters Club is a series of novels written by Ann M. Martin, published between 1986 to 2000. It follows a group of young girls who run a babysitting service as they deal with issues like illness, moving, and divorce.

To make the story fresher, the Netflix series will be set in the modern era. So, while this 10-episode series promises to retain the themes that fans know and love about The Baby-Sitters Club, it will also tackle modern-day issues in the 21st century. It will also focus on empowering young female entrepreneurs— as this is the very theme of the books.

The upcoming Netflix series will star Sophie Grace as Kristy Thomas, Malia Baker as Mary Anne Spier, Momona Tamada as Claudia Kishi, Shay Rudolph as Stacey McGill, and Xochitl Gomez as Dawn Schafer. Alicia Silverstone, who is known for her role in Clueless, will be playing Kristy’s mother, Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer.

The series will be released on Netflix on July 3, 2020.
