In the canon of large creatures who wreak havoc, King Kong is one of the most famous. The colossal ape has been around since 1933, and has appeared in sequels, remakes, spin-offs, parodies, comics, video games, and theme park rides.
Now, the story of King Kong is returning with the reboot Kong: Skull Island, and it looks really good.
The movie is described as: “A diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific — as beautiful as it is treacherous — unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.”
The film stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, and John Goodman.
There are talks that this movie is an entry to the same universe of Warner Bros.’ Godzilla. There are already rumors that Kong: Skull Island is a lead-up to Godzilla vs. Kong in 2020.
Kong: Skull Island will premiere on March 10, 2017.
