Actress Nadine Lustre is starring in a new movie and this time, it’s without her on- and off-screen beau, James Reid. Her new film will be called Ulan and she’ll be starring with Carlo Aquino, AJ Muhlach, and Marco Gumabao. For fans who can’t wait for this, Viva Films just released its first teaser and you can watch it below!
In the teaser, we see a young Lustre asking her grandmother why it rains when it’s sunny. The grandmother explains that it’s because tikbalang are getting married. We then see the adult Lustre interacting with Aquino, Muhlach, Gumabao, and even a tikbalang. A tikbalang is a mythological creature that is said to be half-man and half-horse.
There’s no word what it will be about, but Lustre told ABS-CBN that “it’s about finding yourself and learning to love yourself. This is what I really stand for, you know? Self-love.” According to director Irene Villamor, it’s about a young woman and the three different kinds of love she experiences.
Villamor is also behind the films Camp Sawi,  Meet Me in St. Gallen, and Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story.
The release date to Ulan hasn’t been announced.
