WATCH: The ‘Pet Sematary’ Remake Looks Creepy

Looks like Stephen King isn’t getting any kind of break. There are multiple movie and TV projects in the works for him, and a remake of ‘Pet Sematary’ is one of them. In case you didn’t get to see the first movie, which came out in 1988, or read the novel from 1983; ‘Pet Sematary’ follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home.

When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences. Watch the trailer here:

Although ‘Pet Sematary’ as a book was so dark that Stephen King didn’t even want to publish it anymore, the first ‘Pet Sematary’ movie didn’t really scare me because it was a bit cheesy. This remake, however, looks pretty promising. What do you think? Will you be watching this?

‘Pet Sematary’ is distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.
