James Reid recently launched the music video for “lie to me,” the latest song from his album lovescene:.
The video stars Reid, Nikki De Moura, and Destiny Rogers. Rogers also features in the song.

The music video depicts a love triangle between Reid, De Moura, and Rogers, but it’s not what you expect. De Moura and Rogers end up together.
Rogers told Forbes, “The music video was shot in Manila. It was my first time in Manila and first time filming with a girl love interest. The concept is a love triangle between me, James, and the girl—and I eventually end up stealing James’ girl. The music video definitely got me out of my comfort zone a little, but I had such a blast filming it—it was the most fun music video shoot I’ve ever done.”
lovescene: is Reid’s second album after he launched Palm Dreams five years ago.
The album is described as an exploration of the cycle of life and death that exists within romantic relationships. It has 10 tracks produced locally and internationally, and features globally-renowned producers such as The Stereotypes and foreign artists such as Woosung from The Rose and Rogers.
Careless Music, an independent record label founded by Reid, said, “[James] expresses a deeper, more vulnerable, and romantic side to himself than what he usually reveals to the public. Stepping away from his life in showbusiness to focus on his musical craft has become evident through his work on lovescene:. The essence of the album is embodied in its soulfully produced tracks accompanied by James’ raw and sincere lyrics that take the listener through the highs and lows of intimacy and romance.”
Some of the songs from the album include “cali loving,” “always been you,” “hold on tight (feat. woosung),” and “u & i.”
lovescene: is available on all major streaming platforms accompanied by one visualizer per song.
