WATCH: ‘The Goonies’ Cast Reunite to Reenact Iconic Scenes After 35 Years

It’s been 35 years since the classic film The Goonies premiered but their recent virtual reunion only goes to show that Goonies never say die!

In an episode of Reunited Apart hosted by Josh Gad (yes, Olaf from Frozen) the cast from the iconic ’80s film came together to reminisce and reenact certain scenes from one of our favorite childhood flicks.

The cast showed up in full force with Sean Astin (Mikey), Corey Feldman (Mouth), Jeff Cohen (Chunk), Martha Plimpton (Stef), Jonathan Ke Quan (Data), Kerri Green (Andy), Josh Brolin (Brand), Robert Davi (Jake Fratelli), and Joe Pantoliano (Francis Fratelli).

Even “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough” theme song singer Cyndi Lauper, screenwriter Chris Columbus, executive producer Steven Spielberg, and director Richard Donner joined in on the fun.

With direction from Donner, the cast acted out some scenes including the wishing well moment, Data’s “bobby traps” line, and Chunk’s confessional for the Fratelli brothers. They also caught up on each other’s lives and paid tribute to the late John Matuszak (Sloth) and Anne Ramsey (Mama Fratelli), who have both passed since the film’s release.

The Goonies follows a group of friends as they hunt down buried pirate treasure in the few days before a development paves over their homes. They eventually stumble into trouble involving the Fratelli crime family.
