Filipinos are known for their knack of turning a serious situation to a funny one, and the rising cases of the tanim-bala modus was not exempted from Pinoy humor. Who knew someone could find humor in airport employees allegedly planting bullets in passengers’ bags to extort money from them?
In a music video created by Orlok Combo and uploaded on Youtube, the Mexican song “La Bamba” was altered to the LSS-worthy lyrics of “tanim-bala.” The video also featured superimposed photos of President Benigno Aquino, Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Secretary Jun Abaya and Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Jose Angel Honrado.
