Taiwan has been successful so far in the implementation of effective measures in containing the spread of COVID-19. No wonder it has gained global recognition as one of the few countries that have successfully controlled the continued threat of the Coronavirus.
Most countries have eased down on quarantine measures now, but Taiwan has long been living the new normal. Such pioneering act can be attributed to the national government’s quick and efficient response to the global pandemic.

The Taiwanese government’s quick and early response to the health crisis contributed immensely. Through timely and reliable programs that were delivered through humorous, relaxed, and emphatic ways, the government became successful in informing and educating its citizens about the virus. Their strict implementation of preventive and control measures during the early stages of the virus outbreak also helped minimize cases and mitigate the entry of COVID-19 into Taiwan.
As the country eases into the new normal, Taiwan has launched a new initiative called #WeBeatTheChallengeTogether that aims to promote discipline, cooperation, and unity among its population in these trying times. A rallying cry that shows that the Taiwanese are steadfast and united in addressing and managing the contagion.

Taiwan also has instituted a national mask program for its people and even donated millions of face masks to European countries, the United States, and neighboring allies including the Philippines. A gesture that goes to show that, throughout the world, we truly can end COVID-19 if #WeBeatTheChallengeTogether.
Today, Taiwan embraces the new normal by strictly implementing the standard protocols: frequent hand washing, wearing of face mask, and maintaining social distancing to help prevent disease transmission in public areas.
Truly, Taiwan is in the forefront of a successful fight against COVID-19.
