WATCH: The Superdudes Sharing Food with Strangers in Manila

Earlier this year, Cheryl and I were able to hang out with the Superdudes for the day. In case you haven’t heard of them, you can read more about them here.

Well, on the day that we all hung out, we decided to bring them around Manila in true WhenInManila.com fashion and show them some cool things that the city has to offer. After surviving one of Breakout Philippines‘ escape rooms, that meant eating – a LOT. Obviously, that meant hitting a food park.

Our food park of choice? Gastro Park in Kapitolyo!

What they didn’t expect, though, was the amount of food that we would end up having to consume. Since there was SO MUCH FOOD and only 6 of us, we ended up with bundles of takeout – a lot of which we knew we wouldn’t be able to eat. While on the way back to the hotel, the Superdudes came up with this awesome idea to give the food away to people we’d drive past and might want it.

It didn’t matter that they didn’t know them. With a kind smile and paper bags in hand, they handed out doggy bags to people on the streets, in jeeps and even in cars nearby that were stuck in traffic with us.

Wasn’t this an awesome idea? 🙂 So, the next time you end up with a ton of leftovers at a restaurant, don’t force yourself to eat everything with fear of wasting the food. Just wrap it up and share it with others! 🙂

Have you ever done anything similar? We would love to hear your stories and possibly share them, as well! 🙂
