The San Diego Comic-Con was packed with lots of surprises for everyone.
One of the treats attendees got to see was the first teaser of Steven Spielberg’s upcoming movie Ready Player One.
The movie is based on a 2011 novel. It is about a teenager who is on a treasure hunt in a virtual reality game, in a world torn by an energy crisis.
Tye Sheridan stars in the movie. He plays the teenage player Wade Watts.
The teaser begins with Wade putting on a VR Oasis headset and gloves, and he is transported to the virtual game. This happens in a futuristic trailer park in Columbus, Ohio where he lives.
In the teaser, Wade is seen with various iconic characters such as Freddy Krueger and the Iron Giant. He is also seen racing the DeLorean from Back to the Future.

The movie will hit US theaters in March 2018.
