WATCH- Someone Compared It's Trailer to the Original and It's Scary!

One of the most anticipated movies of 2017 is the reboot of Stephen King’s It, the novel turned movie about a clown that terrorizes a small town. It was the stuff of nightmares because clowns are already scary even if they’re not evil. The story taps into a primal fear, and we will soon be able to watch it on the big screen.

The trailer for the reboot launched last week, and Moviepilot decided to compare the trailer to the original TV mini-series in 1990.

Watch it below:

The trailer for the upcoming movie faithfully copies the trailer of the 1990 mini-series, except with a few changes, like trading a possessed photo album into a movie projector. It is, after all, 2017.

Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd’s Pennywise also looks more sinister compared to Tim Curry’s version.

It tells the story of a group of children terrorized by a clown who exploits the fears and phobias of its victims. The book is one of King’s most recognizable works, with Publishers Weekly announcing it was the bestselling book of 1986. The clown Pennywise was also recognized as one of the scariest clowns in pop culture.

It will premiere on September 8, 2017.
