The Smurfs: Lost Village official international trailer has finally arrived and is looking better than ever—in full animation and a new take on the franchise!
Playing the smurfs of 2017 are Demi Lovato as Smurfette, Joe Manganeillo as Hefty, Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf, and Rainn Wilson as Gargamel. I grew up watching The Smurfs cartoon series on Cartoon Network, but I didn’t really feel the previous The Smurfs movies starring Neil Patrick Harris (sorry Barney Stinson). Would the 2017 version be better? We hope so!

The two previous Smurf films by Sony Pictures Animations were shot in live-action with human interaction, so it’s interesting that Smurfs: The Lost Village went fully 3D animated. Hopefully this brings justice to the Smurfs animated cartoons we all loved. Directed by Kelly Asbury, the same person who directed Shrek 2 and Gnomeo & Juliet, could she be just the person to do that?
Here is Smurfs: The Lost Village‘s first international official trailer.
