Pia Wurtzbach announced on Instagram that she is now engaged to her boyfriend, Jeremy Jauncey.

She posted a video of the two of them enjoying a yacht ride in Amanpulo. In a clip, Jauncey is seen approaching Wurtzbach with flowers and a drink. The video then cuts to Wurtzbach with an engagement ring.
The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder captioned the post with “We found the perfect place to celebrate and tell you guys.” It was accompanied by the ring emoji.
Rumors of their romance began last January 2020 when the two seemingly traveled to Bawah Reserve, Indonesia together. In the following month, they shared the same photo of a brunch meal at Dumbo House in Brooklyn, New York City on their individual Instagram accounts.
The two gave hints about their relationship through their Instagram posts. Pia revealed that Jeremy had sent her a sweet surprise amid the quarantine: a bouquet of pink roses. “Thank you for the sweet surprise :)” she wrote, tagging Jeremy and adding a heart emoji. Jauncey’s Instagram story takeover of a fitness clothing brand’s account showed that his fridge was adorned with photographs of him and Pia.
The couple announced their status with a cover on Tatler Philippines‘ June 2020 issue. The cover was shot by Nigel Barker, known for being one of the judges on America’s Next Top Model.
In the interview, Wurtzbach said, “There was definitely an immediate spark. We couldn’t stop talking. I found him to be such a warm person and I like that he was always smiling.”
However, it took time for them to date exclusively because Wurtzbach just came out of a relationship. According to Jauncey, he “happily accepted” to show her he was serious and that he is a gentleman.
Previously, the Miss Universe titleholder spoke out about a relationship she was in, without naming Jauncey. She told Mega magazine for its March issue, “I can be my full self. I can be my full Pia, 100% empowered Pia, fight mode all the time; I can be the alpha that I am, all the time. I don’t have to filter myself for anyone anymore.”
