Paolo Ballesteros has established himself as the makeup transformation king. He has successfully turned himself into Marilyn Monroe, Mariah Carey, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lawrence, Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, Miss Universe winner Pia Wurtzbach, and even the women of Game of Thrones. We’ve seen the pictures and have wondered: how is he doing this?
For the first time ever, Ballesteros has allowed a sneak peek behind his transformations. And it takes a lot of work. Around three hours, in fact. At least that’s how long it took for him to transform to Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. He posted a timelapse video behind the scenes:

To achieve their likeness, Ballesteros said that he studies their look and their facial expressions.
He has achieved international fame for his transformations. His makeup transformations have been featured on The Daily Mail, Cosmopolitan, MTV, The Today Show, and TMZ. Tyra Banks has said that he did a good job in looking like her, while Miss Jamaica Universe 2014 Kaci Fennell said, “We have some competition!”
