The highlight of the sold-out show, however, was when the Manila Symphony Orchestra surprised its audience with a rendition of the Avengers theme, which was received with thunderous applause.

“Video Game Symphonic” kickstarts the 2019-2020 season of Manila Symphony Orchestra’s Gala Concerts themed “Live Music Lives.” According to conductor and annotator Jeffrey Solares, they aspire to raise interest among the younger generation in hearing and experiencing music performed live.

The mini-concert was part of the Manila Symphony Orchestra’s “Rush Hour” series in partnership with the Ayala Museum. It is set to have a repeat performance on May 26, 2019.
