Watch: Lights and Sound “Giant Dandelions” Show in Taguig

Several weeks ago, the Giant Dandelions installation were inaugurated at SM Aura in Taguig City. This exhibit of giant blooms is an eco-friendly project that used approximately 9,000 recycled water bottles cut and connected to one another by a nylon weave. LED lights were used to make each bloom light up especially at night.

Just in time for Christmas, a free lights and sound show can be witnessed on the Giant Dandelions exhibit. So, if you are looking for a good place to hangout with your family and friends this Holiday season, SM Aura’s roof deck might be the perfect spot.

Watch how the Giant Dandelions flicker and bloom in tune of different Christmas songs on the video below.

The Giant Dandelions is a project of famed textile artist Olivia d’Aboville. She is a staunch supporter of environmental efforts. A young French-Filipino artist based in Manila,  d’Aboville specializes in tapestry and textile structures, adapting various techniques to create her own woven forms. Even when she was still a design student in Paris, recycling had already been a major component, if not an influence, on her pieces, which is embodied by the Giant Dandelions.
