WATCH: Kris Aquino Shares Unseen Footage of P-Noy’s Wake Before Cremation

Kris Aquino has taken to Instagram to share with fans, friends, and followers a four-minute video that included footage from the late former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s wake at Heritage Park prior to his cremation.

“Our moments in Heritage,” Kris began on her post. “Na realize ko that unlike with our mom, you never got to see Noy in his casket…”

“I felt our family needed footage if only for our archives, so I asked my Ate if it was okay for my team to shoot all throughout because they would have access that the rest of the media would not,” she shared. “Here are moments you did not see because no cameras were allowed inside Heritage before our brother’s Cremation and during the Private Viewing.”

The four-minute video captured the scenes of the wake on the day of P-Noy’s death interspersed with various clips taken in the past years, most of which were of him having fun with Kris’ children, Josh and Bimby.

Marami po talaga akong gustong ibahagi sa inyo tungkol sa journey namin bilang magkapatid dahil alam ko (I have so much to share with you all regarding our journey as siblings because I understand) how profoundly the experience has changed me. BUT the TRUTH is- [Instagram] is the venue where our “feud” started so in my heart I know it’s also not where I should share kung paano nagsimula ang unang mga hakbang para lumambot na ang puso nya, at lahat ng paraan na ginawa ko para mapangiti lang sya (what the first steps were to soften his heart, and everything I did just to make him smile),” she continued.

Kris then revealed to her followers that she will keep this part of her life private to respect her brother and that she will eventually share their story in time.

“I am praying that Noy will give me, “bunso” (youngest) as he refers to me to all those closest to him, a clear sign when he is ready for me to tell all of you our story- until then this bunso has learned her lessons and will stay silent,” she ended.

P-Noy served as the 15th President of the Philippines from 2010 to 2016. He passed away in his sleep on Thursday, June 24, due to renal disease secondary to diabetes. His funeral mass was held at Church of the Gesu in the Ateneo de Manila University and he was subsequently buried at Manila Memorial Park next to his parents, Ninoy Aquino and former President Cory Aquino.

May he rest in peace.
