Julia is allegedly going to play the role of Coco Martin’s newest leading lady in the show. This is also the two actors’ much-awaited onscreen reunion nearly six years since their last TV project together, “Wansapanataym’s Yamishita’s Treasures.” They also have a movie project in the works which was directed by Brillante Mendoza and shot in the municipality of Pola, Oriental Mindoro.

Julia only recently returned to showbiz after a long hiatus due to unknown reasons. Her comeback teleserye was supposed to be the show “24/7” which premiered on ABS-CBN in late February 2020. She played Mia, a single mother working as a security officer who steals a case full of vaccines to cure her son who had been infected by a fatal disease and eventually gets caught and killed. Her son, who had been saved by the vaccine, grows up to be a scientist and invents a holographic stick that will warn his mom in the past of her death. The invention works and Mia, knowing what will happen in the future, begins her heist to steal the vaccine as she had originally planned, but this time also learning more about the epidemic and deciding to save as many victims as she possibly can.

The show was an instant hit but only lasted for a few weeks as the production of new episodes was temporarily suspended amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was then discontinued.

Another show she was also supposed to do last year was “Burado” with Nadine Lustre, Paulo Avelino, and Zanjoe Marudo. The project was eventually shelved.

A lot of fans have been eagerly waiting for her return since then. Now, the time has finally come — and we’re extremely excited!
