I’ve been a fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt for the longest time; and I love Jamie Foxx, too. Put them together and what have you got? Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo. Joke. These two have teamed up with Dominique Fishback for a movie called ‘Project Power’, which will be streaming on Netflix very soon!
The film is set on the streets of New Orleans, where word starts to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. (Ugh. What I wouldn’t give for superpowers right now.) There’s a catch, though: you don’t know what will happen until you take it.
So, while some people end up with bulletproof skin, or the powers of invisibility or super strength, other experience a much deadlier reaction. As predicted, the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels. That’s when a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback), and a former soldier with a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) team up to fight power with power, and risk taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it. It sounds so awesome!
