Remember when Blair Witch Project came out in 1999 and it was such a big deal?
It was unique because the movie is shot like a footage; a video of three film students who went into the woods to investigate the local Blair Witch legend. There was a lot of hype surrounding the movie at the time as the film was first posed to be a real found footage, and that the three film students had gone missing.
That was just a campaign strategy, of course, but it worked. Blair Witch Project is one of the most successful independent films of all time.
Well, 17 years later, the movie is back. Revealed at the recently wrapped up San Diego Comic Con, the new Blair Witch movie is set to be released on September 2016.
