In the Harry Potter universe, the houses of Hogwarts each represented a trait: Gryffindor represented courage, Slytherin represented cunning, Ravenclaw represented wisdom, and Hufflepuff represented… loyalty and friendship. Through the years, Hufflepuffs were seen as boring, but actor Eddie Redmayne hopes to change that.

Redmayne, who stars as Newt Scamander in the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, passionately defends Hufflepuffs in a public service announcement (PSA). Fans will recall that Scamander was a Hufflepuff when he was a student at Hogwarts.

In the video, Redmayne says, “They call us boring, they call us beige — so we’re the nice guys.” He then cites the reasons why Hufflepuffs should be proud of their house, including a funny surprise at the end of the video.
