Kadenang Ginto actress Dimples Romana switched out her red dress with a red suit as she transformed into the famous Marvel hero, Iron Man, to surprise her son Alonzo on his fifth birthday!
Dimples shared in a YouTube vlog the idea behind her transformation which was inspired by the finale shoot for Kadenang Ginto in which she dressed up in gladiator armor. She said she was so impressed by the costume and props created by Mark Rodil for the shoot that she asked him to make a custom Iron Man suit for her.

On the day of the surprise, Dimples told Alonzo that she had to leave to work. In secret, Dimples transferred to a different hotel room to wear the custom-made Iron suit. And what an impressive suit it was! It could pass off as a real Marvel movie prop because of the way it lit up and how the helmet could open on its own with a push of a button.
Dimples then surprised Alonzo in the Iron suit without revealing it was her at first. And, honestly, our hearts are melting by how adorably excited Alonzo was when he thought the Marvel superhero paid him a visit! He wouldn’t stop hugging and dancing with her. So precious!
Eventually, Dimples revealed to Alonzo that it was really her underneath the suit and Alonzo was even happier than before. We would be too if we found out our mom did all this to surprise us on our birthday!
“Wait, you’re mom?! I didn’t expect that!” he said.
When asked who he loves more, his mom or Iron Man, Alonzo replied: “I want mom in Iron Man.” So sweet!
