If you’ve been groaning about the wait for the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s second season then Netflix has something to soothe your impatience. The spooky show is set to (ironically) air a Christmas special this December 14th.
Although CAOS showrunner, Roberto-Aguirre Sacasa, actually tweeted an announcement nearly a month ago it didn’t quite get the attention of its viewership.
Praise Satan! I mean, Praise Santa! @sabrinanetflix has a X-mas Special dropping on 12/14!! I love this episode of #CAOS!! @netflix 🔮👹👼🏼🎄⚡️☃️🥂🍷☠️ pic.twitter.com/A5DPs4Dajv

Something that can’t be as easily ignored is the new Christmas teaser they released today.
Titled “A Midwinters Tale” this is something we can expect to defy the norms and tropes of a usual Christmas special. Don’t be fooled by the jolly Christmas carol they use to mask the creepy undertones, something tells me this special will be more screams-and-terror than warm-feelings-by-the-fireplace.
We do get some cuddly moments of Sabrina back with her human friends and possibly making amends with Harvey, but I’m personally more interested in the menacing Santa Clause and flying knives. Like Ambrose says in the clip, “Christmas is the best time for ghost stories.”
What was your favorite part of the teaser? Let us know if you’ll be tuning in this December 14th to catch the special!
