Local band Ben&Ben just created a Korean version of one of their hit songs and we can’t stop listening to it!
The indie-folk band released the music video of this new version of their 2017 song “Leaves” on Youtube with the vocalists themselves singing in the foreign language.
This is the first time that they translated an original song to Korean which was credited to Sandra Jung. This comes less than a month after they collaborated with Korean singer Young K of Day6 for a remake of the same song.
Listen to the Korean version below!
Ben&Ben rose to fame in the South Korean music scene after several K-pop idols listened to “Leaves” during their respective V Live streams upon the request of their fanbases. “Leaves” then started to trend and took the top spots of the Melon music chart. Even well-known Korean guitarist Sungha Jung made his own beautiful guitar cover of the song!
The band then went on to cover multiple Korean songs in separate vlogs posted in August and September 2020. They’re also set to collaborate with many more artists soon, namely SB19 and Filipino-American singer H.E.R. (though the latter has yet to be finalized).
We’re so proud of what they’ve achieved so far and look forward to many more projects to come!
