Earlier this year, Andrea Brillantes went viral after a video of her talking in a baby voice while buying in a store made the rounds on social media.

Now, the actress is explaining why she does that in an interview with Karen Davila.

Watch the interview below, which was recorded for Davila’s vlog:

In the video, Brillantes said, “‘Yung pagbe-baby talk ko na palaging nagte-trending, voice ko talaga siya pero hindi siya ‘yung napipili ko subconsciously.

According to the actress, the baby talk comes out for a variety of reasons. One reason for this is when she feels comfortable around a person. Brillantes shared, “Minsan lalabas siya kapag ibig sabihin nun, komportable ako sa iyo or feeling ko may nakikita akong father figure sa iyo, or kuya figure, ate figure.”

The baby talk also comes when she feels excited, happy, or even when she’s uncomfortable.

When asked if she gets hurt when people comment on it, she said no. She mentioned, “Bumabalik at bumabalik talaga siya.

In the vlog, Brillantes also talked about her childhood, where she entered showbiz at the age of seven. She also became the family’s breadwinner and paid for the food, things, taxes, and electricity. The actress said, “Nawalan ako ng childhood dahil ang dami kong sinacrifice. May mga dream school ako, as in gusto ko talagang school na, kaya ko naman, pero pag pumasok ako sa school na iyon, magugutom kami.”
