Always be on the side of caution when driving on the road, especially if the road is flooded like this one.
Choy Aboboto, from the Public Safety Department of Calapan at MDRRMO in Naujan, posted a video on Facebook that showed the actual rescue operation done to save a motorcycle rider who got stuck and washed away by a stream of strong water current.
According to Choy, the driver tried to force his way to cross from Naujan in Oriental Mindoro to Calapan City. However due to the strong water current, the driver got washed away with his motorcycle and was carried to the deep part of the flooded area. Choy added that the driver still got lucky because he got caught on tall grasses so they were able to save him.

Choy added that at the time, they released an advisory that only big trucks can pass that area, but seems the motorist did not heed the advice.
