A 10-year-old Filipino just received a standing ovation from all four judges of “America’s Got Talent” during his audition for the talent show.
On Tuesday, June 1, the talent search competition released a video that features a fresh new batch of auditionees for its 16th season, which includes Peter Rosalita—a pure Filipino born in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The young auditionee blew the judges away with his chosen piece, Celine Dion’s “All By Myself,” wherein he flawlessly and confidently belted out the high notes, thus earning a standing ovation from Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell.
“You’re so adorable. I think you got surprised when you heard your own voice,” Vergara told him. “We were so nervous too but we loved you!”
“You are amazing. You are so cute even when you talk to us,” Mandel added. “I predict you’re gonna go far in this competition.”
“I think you’re incredible. What I want to know is what do your neighbors say when you rehearse these types of songs? It’s so high that you think like a glass would explode,” gushed Klum. “Mariah, better watch out!”
Meanwhile, Cowell complimented Peter for his “incredible audition.”
“There were parts during that audition which literally gave me goosebumps. You have an amazing voice, an amazing personality, an amazing energy. Everyone is gonna fall in love with you after this audition,” he said.
Peter successfully received four “Yeses” from the judging panel and will be advancing to the next round of the competition.
When asked what he would do if he won the million-dollar cash prize, he said that he would spend it buying a Nintendo Switch and a laptop for his online school. So adorable!
