Warner Brothers Releases New Trailer of Joss Whedon’s Justice League

Words by Joaquin Ramon Jocson

Despite the tremendous success of Zack Snyder’s Justice league on HBO max on March 18, 2021, Warner Brothers have released a new 4k trailer of the 2017 theatrical cut of Justice League directed by Joss Whedon. Snyder fans are outraged because of this as the likes to dislike ratio is huge with about 4.

5k likes and 106k dislikes.

Snyder fans started a hashtag called #RestoreTheSnyderVerse which has garnered a lot of attention including the Warner Brothers executives.

The new trailer of Joss Whedon’s cut also includes some scenes from Zack Snyder’s cut, which fans have clearly noticed. The scenes include Superman without that infamous CGI upper lip, as well as the “Something Darker” monologue by Bruce Wayne. In that monologue Bruce Wayne talked about how he remembered the Flash warning him in a dream, which was a scene in Snyder’s prequal Batman v Superman, Dawn of Justice which was clearly not followed up on in Whedon’s cut.

Zack Snyder himself has even responded to this trailer release.

On April 29 he responded to a fan on Vero saying, “Crossing the line.

” However, this may just be Snyder having fun because “crossing the line” is a line from the trailer of his most recent movie “Army of the Dead” which is a zombie action movie being released on Netflix on May 21.
