Did you know that roughly 50% of businesses don’t make it past their first five years, according to reports? And of course, when you throw into the equation a global pandemic that has affected and turned lives upside down, the journey of openingโand growingโa business becomes even more of a challenge.
But the good news is, it’s not impossible.
In partnership with Wemu, a New-York based app designed to help small business owners, four passionate Pinoy entrepreneurs who found success in growing their small businesses will talk about the journey, how they did it, and you can overcome the odds, like they did. This four-part workshop, titled #WeMustCreate, aims not only to inspire Filipinos to reach their dreams of owning a successful business, but to help them get there. As Wemu puts it, small business owners are the backbone of economies, and thus they want to help provide them with the tools to succeed.
Wemu shares what #WeMustCreate is all about, saying, “We are directly speaking to the SMEs that persevered and held their ground keeping our economy and their households afloat with their small businesses, most of whom had no choice but to start after losing their main sources of income.ย #WeMustCreate inspires us all to keep moving, to dream and to finally act on those dreams with no source of retreat, to motivate everyone to turn their passions into their careers.”
The workshop will happen twice a month, starting this July until August via Zoom. Here is the line-up of guest speakers and Pinoy entrepreneurs:
