If you’re one of those who are looking to step up your gaming career, here are 6 things you’ll need:

A PC, console, or mobile device, depending on the type of gamer you are

A regular PC or laptop won’t cut it, so you’ll need a gaming device to smoothly run graphics-heavy games. Luckily, there are plenty of options now at different price points, so there’s a device that would suit your budget. Make sure to look at the processor, which will affect performance. Other things to consider include the graphics card to make higher resolutions playable, RAM, and the hard drive. Consoles are easy to use and fuss-free, while mobile devices can be used practically anywhere. Find out what type of gamer you are to know the right device for you!

A stable internet connection

Of course, your gaming gear wouldn’t be complete without a stable internet connection. Invest in a good plan so your viewers can enjoy your streams clearly and without any lags. Answers seem to vary online, with some saying that at least 3 Mbps is needed, while others say 4 to 8 Mbps minimum is ideal. Whatever the case, the higher the Mbps, the better.

A gaming chair

If you’re going to spend long periods of time playing, make sure you’re seated comfortably. Gaming chairs not only look cool, but they also have great benefits. A webcam

If you’re using a PC, you will need to invest in a good webcam so your viewers can, well, watch you. Get a high-resolution one so your streams are always clear.

You’ll be spending long periods of time seated so it’s a good idea to have a snack nearby.
