Then, the last pair…Â
The final two were no more than delightful ladies of contrasting dynamics, Abi and Jenica. The sweet and the not-so-sweet, respectively.Â
Abi is a graphic designer who takes inspiration from her day-to-day activities. In awe of Andy Warhol’s artistic expressions, she is set to film her first movie soon (or has it started?).Â
A hardworking woman with a slight dose of OCD, you can expect color on print and print on color in all of her works.Â
Now if Abi takes her inspiration from her everyday life and what she sees, Jenica likes to keep it simple and abstract wrapped up in a one big bow of complicated thorns (or maybe not, that’s just my guess).
Her dreams play an important role in her pieces, featuring borderline dramatic to eerily insane; it’s no wonder she’s a Salad Fingers fanatic.Â
And just like the series, the eccentricity in her works will keep you wanting more.Â
I haven’t had time to talk to the others, but I’m sure my journey was more than enough to make you want to know more.Â
Its only flaw? The place wasn’t well lit for the artworks to fully display their magnificence (I believe they deserve to stand out).
Now be it unicorns, chocolate rainbows, fire breathing dragons or Adam Levine stripping down, I’m all pumped up for my next art-filled ride When In Manila.Â
