Last week, a photo of University of the Philippines students camping out to enroll went viral. Classes have started in the university and we all assume that the ‘camping out’ is over as the students have, by now, been able to get into their respective classes. The camping, however, is not over for other UP students. This photo, posted yesterday, has been making rounds online. Apparently, a good number of students have been displaced because of issues in the university’s housing program.
With nowhere to stay, some students who hail from as far as Mindanao, have resorted to camping out.
The University Student Council has responded to the situation through attempts at finding temporary accommodations for the students.
In the meantime, it seems the problem persists.
What do you think about this?
