There’s no doubt these two teams are eyeing for a big win this season.
The top two teams of the UAAP women’s volleyball competition locked horns yesterday. And after five sets, the defending champions Ateneo Lady Eagles won the night.
Ateneo won 21-25, 25-22, 25-16, 21-25, 15-5 and took a jump at their rival for the top spot with a 12-2 record
while La Salle takes second spot with a 10-3 record.
The Lady Eagles got even with La Salle after the latter brought them down in round one after 3 sets.
But La Salle proved their long-standing rival that they won’t make things easy for the Eagles by showing their tenacity
during the night’s longest rally at 5th set.
Though the rally ended with a point for Ateneo, it was still a close battle of wit and athleticism.
