Looks like the creature just wants to celebrate with everyone.
In this Facebook video shared online by Benjie Ang, the footage shows a bunch of people clamoring around a big snake some men were trying to capture. As seen on the video, the snake was seen hanging on a tree along a busy road.
Here is Benjie’s post:
Rough translation: “Big snake! Found in Sta. Ana Street Davao City, while celebrating the Kadayawan festival. This is an actual video I captured during the incident. While waiting for 911 to arrive, that one guy volunteered [to capture the snake]. Look at the reaction of the citizens.”
Leave it to Filipinos to make light what could have been a dangerous situation, though. Perhaps everyone was still in high spirits because of the festival. Despite the possible threat the big snake poses, the laughs and hilarious yells from the crowd made the scene a little bit more entertaining than threatening.
