Vanessa Bryant announced via Instagram on Friday that a “Celebration of Life” will be held for Kobe and Gianna Bryant on February 24 at Staples Center at 10 a.m.
Further details have yet to be given concerning the memorial service for Vanessa’s husband and 13-year old daughter but are expected to come shortly.

As of posting Vanessa explained through her caption that the date, February 24, holds special significance. Written out as ‘2-24-20’ the date refers to a number of things. The number 2 is in homage to Gianna’s jersey number for her high school basketball team while the number 24 is obviously in remembrance of Kobe’s Lakers jersey.
The number 20 is significant of both the number of years Kobe spent with the Los Angeles Lakers as well as the amount of time Vanessa spent with him.
Kobe and Gianna were among 9 passengers killed in a helicopter crash last January 26.
