Belated Happy Valentine’s Day! Did you have a good time with your loved ones? Some people celebrated Valentine’s Day with their significant other while some with their friends or family. I personally went out on a date with my parents and gave my mom a rose.
For Aldrene Paolo, he surprised his wife with a room full of balloons (which he manually inflated), bought all of her favorite chocolates and even.. underwear?
Aldrene gave a comical twist to the video that he made to document the process of his “surprise” for his wife. He even discussed the underwear that he bought for her and how difficult it was purchase those.
All of his hard work paid off when he saw the reaction of his wife to his simple surprise which made her tear up.
Aldrene told When In Manila (.com) that as a couple, they were fond of surprising each other. A few years back he was on the other end of the surprise. They were a long distance couple and he did not know that his wife was coming home to the Philippines when she surprised him with candles on the beach with their best friends.
We asked what made him do surprises for his wife and he said:
“Yung feeling na achievement ko na yung mapasaya ko siya through surprise. Masarap po kasi sa feeling yung alam mong may ginawa kang effort tapos mararamdaman mo sa facial expression at body language nya na nasurprise talaga. That’s the best feeling po”
Rough translation:
That feeling of achievement that you have made her happy through a surprise. It feels good that you’ve made an effort. Through her facial expression and body language, it is evident that she was surprised. That is the best feeling.
