Today, the Department of Health reported that there are now 380 confirmed cases of the coronavirus or COVID-19.

Yesterday, 73 cases were confirmed, a smaller rise compared to the previous day’s 77. Friday marked the country’s largest single-day increase since the virus’s outbreak in January.

A total of 25 fatalities were recorded, along with 15 recoveries. It’s crucial to note that four of the recoveries included patients aged 69 to 75, believed to be the most vulnerable age group for COVID-19.

On March 17, President Rodrigo Duterte placed Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine to contain the spread of the virus. Employees were encouraged to work from home and public transportation was suspended.
